Movie fans got their first real glimpse of Israeli actress Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman on Wednesday, as footage emerged from her upcoming eponymous movie.
The film, which is set for release in 2017, also stars Chris Pine as the superhero’s potential love interest, Steve Trevor, as well as Robin Wright, Connie Nielsen and David Thewlis.
The footage appeared in a CW special entitled “DC Films Presents: Dawn of the Justice League.” It includes no dialogue, but does have shots of Diana Prince’s alter ego in a variety of situations, including on horseback and apparently fighting German soldiers.
Gadot’s Wonder Woman makes her real debut in this year’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which stars Ben Affleck as the caped crusader and Henry Cavill as the man of steel.

Gadot told Entertainment Weekly magazine in July that she was well aware of fan expectations of her, portraying a character that has captivated comic readers since the 1940s.
“There are so many expectations for this character, it’s impossible not to
be a little nervous about it,” she said.
