Production of the Egyptian film “Regheef Aish” (Loaf of Bread) was halted by the nation’s censor due to allegations that it promoted normalization of relations with Israel, Ahram online reported Tuesday. The website is the English hand of Egypt’s Arabic Al-Ahram daily.
According to the report, the film, which was under production for two months, follows an Egyptian, a Palestinian and an Israeli.
The project’s writer, Mohamed Kenawy, reportedly denied the allegations of promoting normalization with Israel and said that the film promotes peace and cooperation among all peoples.
