An Israeli was detained by Egyptian authorities for questioning on Wednesday as he was crossing back into Israel from the Sinai at the Taba border crossing, near Eilat.

An “unspecified suspicious material” was discovered in the man’s vehicle during a check at the border, Ma’an, a Palestinian news agency, reported.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry said it was looking into the incident.
