Broadcaster Larry King canceled a scheduled visit to Israel at the last moment Saturday night, after he said he did not feel up to the trip.
King, who left “Larry King Live” in 2010 after 25 years as CNN’s headlining interviewer, was due to meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Shimon Peres during the visit.
King, 78, said from Los Angeles that he was not feeling well and would not be making the trip. He was due to arrive Sunday morning.
The suspender-wearing interviewer last visited Israel in 1995, when he was driven to the airport by Netanyahu, then an MK, according to an article in Globes.
King, who is Jewish and was born in New York, told the financial paper that he considers Israel a second home.
