Bnei Brak man stabbed in alleged terror attack

Thirty-three-year-old moderately injured; police launch search for assailant

A 33-year-old man was stabbed in Petah Tikvah Sunday, in what police suspect was an act of terror. A widespread search was under way for the assailant.

The victim, a resident of Bnei Brak, was moderately wounded after, according to witnesses at the scene, his upper body was slashed with a knife by another young man. The assailant then fled the scene, the witnesses said.

The injured man was rushed to Beilinson Hospital in the city for emergency medical treatment.

Police launched an immediate investigation of the stabbing and arrested several suspects.
