Red alert siren sounds in southern Israel

No reports of injuries of damage

A red alert siren was heard Monday morning in the Shaar Hanegev Regional Council in southern Israel, Ynet reported.

There were no reports of injuries or damage, and it was unclear as of 7 a.m. local time whether anything was actually fired at the area.

Shaar Hanegev borders the Gaza Strip and is home to approximately 6,000 Israelis.
