A 17-year-old girl was arrested Thursday in the southern town of Omer after she allegedly stabbed to death her 40-year-old husband.

According to an initial police investigation, the couple were arguing in their car as they drove into the town.

At a certain point the wife brandished a knife and stabbed the man, who crashed the car and then attempted to escape.

His wife chased him and stabbed him multiple times.

A Magen David Adom medical team arrived at the scene and tried to resuscitate the man but declared him dead a short while later.

Negev Region police arrested the attacker, who did not try to escape or resist arrest.
