4 Border Police hurt as car tries to flee checkpoint in Arad
Troops fire at vehicle’s tires, causing it to crash; suspect apprehended; officers lightly wounded and taken to hospital in Beersheba

Four border police guards were lightly hurt early Saturday when they were hit by a vehicle trying to evade a check post, police said.
The incident occurred in the southern city of Arad, when the suspect was stopped and refused to identify himself and tried to drive off.
As he did so an officer opened fire on his vehicle’s tires causing him to crash into a nearby Border Police vehicle, wounding the officers.
The suspect, a resident of the nearby Bedouin town of Lakiya, was appended and arrested.
The four wounded officers were taken to Soroka Hospital in Beersheba for treatment
