3 Palestinian children suffocate to death after trapping themselves in car

Doctors at the Abu Dis Medical Center declare the deaths of three Palestinian children aged 3, 2 and 2 after they were found suffocated in an abandoned vehicle in the village of al-Azariya just outside East Jerusalem.

An initial investigation by Palestinian police reveals that the three of them were playing in the car when at one point, the door closed and they were unable to open it.

Hours later, the children were spotted by a passerby, who called authorities and had them rushed to the hospital.

The three were identified as Yusef Zidan Abiyat, Ranim Mahmoud Abu Ghalia and Rahaf Mahmoud Abu Ghalia.
