980 new virus cases in last 24 hours in highest daily tally yet
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe Health Ministry records an increase of 980 new cases since last night, as the pandemic continues to trend upwards, again breaking the record of the number of new daily cases in 24 hours.
There have now been 26,021 cases since the start of the pandemic.
The ministry says the number of patients in serious condition is up to 58, two more than the previous update this morning and six more than yesterday evening, and the number of people on ventilators has gone up by one to 25.
The death toll has also gone up by one, to 321.
