Aharonovich wants polygraph for top cops
Public Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovich says he will want any police officer appointed to a position of commander or higher undergo polygraph tests including questions on corruption and proper conduct.
Aharonovich met State Attorney Yehuda Weinstein yesterday and requested that he approve making appointments conditional on passing the polygraph test as soon as possible.
The meeting was set following the latest sex scandal in the Israel Police – allegations that Deputy Commissioner Nissim Mor sexually assaulted female subordinates. Mor was fired by Commissioner Yohanan Danino late last night.
