Amid reports that he has given a “green light” to talks with the US over a temporary halt in the conflict with Hezbollah to allow negotiations for a ceasefire, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu again pledges to get Israelis back to their homes in the north.
“I can’t lay out everything we’re doing,” he says in a video statement, “but I can tell you one thing — we are determined to return our residents home safely.”
“We are landing blows on Hezbollah that it never imagined,” he continues. “We are doing it with strength, we are doing it with ruses. I can promise you one thing — we will not rest until they return home.”
