At UN, Netanyahu says he’d negotiate with Palestinians ‘on basis of Trump plan’
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleAddressing the 75th UN General Assembly via video message, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says he would be willing to negotiate with the Palestinians “on the basis of the Trump plan.”
“I have no doubt that more Arab countries will be joining the circle of peace — soon, very soon,” he says, praising the recent normalization deals between Israel and the UAE and between Israel and Bahrain.
“Expanding circle of peace will not make peace between Israel and Palestinians less likely, it will make peace between Israel and Palestinians more likely,” he promises.
Netanyahu says that after the Palestinians realize “they have lost their veto” and also recognize Israel as the Jewish state, “I would be willing to negotiate on the basis of the Trump plan to end our conflict with the Palestinians once and for all.”
