Blinken speaks with Egyptian FM, urges halt to Hamas attacks

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken speaks with his Egyptian counterpart, Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry.
According to the US State Department, Blinken calls for “an immediate halt to the appalling assault by Hamas terrorists against Israel” and also expresses US appreciation for “for the Egyptian leadership’s ongoing efforts” in attempting to reduce tensions.
