Border Police shoot and critically injure man in northern Arab town

Border Police shoot and critically injure a young man in Kabul, an Arab town in northern Israel.

Police say an officer shot at “a suspicious motorcyclist who did not heed officers’ calls to stop,” in a statement addressing the incident.

The injured man is in critical condition and has been taken to the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya. Medics are currently trying to resuscitate him while en route to the hospital.

According to Ynet, clashes broke out between residents and police in the shooting’s wake. The injured motorcyclist is 18 years old, says the outlet.
