Demonstrators retreat from Gaza fence after IDF shows up
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThousands of Palestinians briefly penetrated into the buffer zone between Gaza and the border fence with Israel as part of a Nakba Day demonstration, an IDF spokesperson tells The Times of Israel.
As they approached the fence near Nahal Oz, in the north of the Strip, the army scrambled forces, and upon arriving, the demonstration dispersed “without a single shot being fired or other riot dispersal method used,” the spokesperson says.
