Despite ultimatum, Edelstein not planning to present Haredim with new conscription bill today, source says

Despite Haredi threats to bolt the coalition, Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee chairman Yuli Edelstein will not present ultra-Orthodox lawmakers with a draft of his Haredi military draft exemption legislation today, a source familiar with the matter tells The Times of Israel.
According to the source, Edelstein intends to “keep his word and present it to the members of [his] committee before presenting it to the Haredim.”
The United Torah Judaism party has threatened to bolt the coalition if Edelstein fails to present the bill, with party MK Moshe Roth stating this afternoon that the Likud lawmaker had until the end of the day to comply with its demands.
A spokesman for Edelstein does not respond when asked if he intends to present the legislation today.
