Erdogan denies Turkey buying IS oil

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan insists his country does not buy any oil from the Islamic State group, lashing out at Russian charges after the downing of a warplane on the Syrian border.

“They claim Turkey is buying oil from Daesh,” Erdogan says in Ankara, using another name for IS. “Shame on you. Those who claim we buy oil from Daesh are obliged to prove it. If not, you are a slanderer.”
