Gaza doctor gives grants to Jewish, Arab students

Dr. Azz a-Din Abu el-Ayash, a Gaza-based physician who lost three daughters when an errant IDF missile hit their home in the Gaza Strip during Israel’s Operation Cast Lead in 2008-9, presented Jewish and Arab students with a scholarship, during a ceremony at the Ahva Academic College near Kiryat Malachi.

“I saw my daughters die before my eyes. The only thing I can do to commemorate them and to bring back their joy of life is to give, in their name, the option for women to learn in academia,” Abu el-Ayash says at the ceremony, according to NRG.
