Health Ministry allows schools to open in all ‘orange’ locales
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe Health Ministry broadens school openings around the country, saying educational institutions will be allowed to operate in all “orange” communities in the government’s color-coded “traffic-light” system for morbidity rates.
So far schools have been allowed to open in “green” and “yellow” areas as well as in some “orange” locations — depending on vaccination levels and other factors.
The ministry says its decision is the result of “improved morbidity indicators and a desire to allow more students to return to normal studies.”
