Health Ministry allows schools to open in all ‘orange’ locales

The Health Ministry broadens school openings around the country, saying educational institutions will be allowed to operate in all “orange” communities in the government’s color-coded “traffic-light” system for morbidity rates.

So far schools have been allowed to open in “green” and “yellow” areas as well as in some “orange” locations — depending on vaccination levels and other factors.

The ministry says its decision is the result of “improved morbidity indicators and a desire to allow more students to return to normal studies.”
