Herzog says Netanyahu ‘reneged on his promise’ to Diaspora Jewry

Opposition leader Isaac Herzog says the cabinet decision to freeze the landmark agreement to create a pluralistic pavilion at the Western Wall demonstrates “another case of Netanyahu reneging on his promises.”

Netanyahu, he charges, “has turned his back on the Disapora Jewish communities and undermining the delicate fabric that unites the Jewish people.”

“The Western Wall is sacred to the entire Jewish people, and everyone has an equal right to it,” Herzog adds.
