The Israel Defense Forces says it carried out a drone strike against a terrorist cell in southern Lebanon that is suspected of planning to carry out an anti-tank guided missile attack against troops in the area.

The IDF says the cell was spotted as troops were returning fire against Lebanon, after some 30 mortars were launched at Israeli military sites in the Mount Dov area.

The IDF does not provide information on possible casualties from the mortar fire.
