The Israel Defense Forces says its air defenses intercepted a rocket fired from the Gaza Strip at southern Israel.

This is the first rocket attack from Gaza since May’s 11-day conflict between Israel and Palestinian terror groups in the Strip.

The launch comes after repeated threats by Palestinian terror groups over the slow pace of Gaza reconstruction and the entrance of Qatari money into the Strip.
