Islamic Jihad: No point in truce efforts until Israel ends Jerusalem aggression
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe Palestinian Islamic Jihad in Gaza says there is no point in efforts to mediate an end to the current round of violence so long as Israeli “aggression” continues in Jerusalem.
Israel “started the aggression on Jerusalem. If this aggression does not end, there is no point to diplomatic efforts to reach a cease-fire,” says a spokesman for the group.
A diplomatic official tells the AP that the United Nations, Egypt and Qatar, which frequently mediate between Israel and Hamas, were all trying to halt the fighting.
