Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar says he spoke with his Jamaican counterpart Kamina J. Smith about Israeli humanitarian efforts in the Caribbean island nation in the wake of Hurricane Melissa.

“I updated her that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will donate ultrasound devices to hospitals in Jamaica to enable rapid medical response,” he writes in an English post on X.

“Israel will continue to provide assistance and share its expertise with countries around the world facing emergency situations. Israel and Jamaica have long-standing relations, and we stand by Jamaica in its time of need,” he adds.
