Yesh Atid chairman Yair Lapid and other prominent opposition politicians condemn Saturday’s attempt on former US President Donald Trump’s life at a political rally in Pennsylvania.
The lawmakers posted their messages in English.
“The attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump is greatly troubling and dangerous,” tweets opposition leader Lapid. “Political violence is an existential threat to democratic systems. I extend my wishes for a speedy recovery to the former president.”

Yisrael Beytenu chairman Avigdor Liberman “strongly condemn[s]” the attack, stating that it “stands against every basic democratic principle.”
New Hope chairman Gideon Sa’ar posts that he is “deeply saddened by the attack” and insists that “democracy is stronger than bullets, and America is the world’s greatest democracy.”
