Jewish lecturer becomes only Israeli to join Turkish Muslim sect

Al-Jazeera profiles Jewish college lecturer Miki Cohen as he becomes the only Israeli in history to join the Mevlevi Order, a Turkish Muslim sect founded by 13th-century Persian poet Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Balkhi-Rumi.

The members of the order, also known as the Whirling Dervishes due to their spinning dance of worship, are based in the Turkish city of Konya, in the Anatolia region.
