Nasrallah: Israel right to fear attack from ‘axis of resistance,’ isn’t the power it once was

In a eulogy he delivers a week after the killing of Hezbollah military commander Fuad Shukr, the terror group’s leader Hassan Nasrallah claims that Israel is right to be afraid of an attack from Iran and the “axis of resistance.”
According to Nasrallah, Israel is no longer the invincible power that beat the greatest Arab armies in past wars, as today it has to rely on the support of the US, UK, France and some Arab countries to defend itself against an anticipated Iranian attack.
He goes on to chastise the US for its “hypocrisy” in supporting Israel in its alleged “massacres” against Palestinian and Lebanese civilians.
He also says Israel has been doing everything in its power to prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state, and claims that the slogan “From the river to the sea” reflects Israeli rather than Palestinian ambitions.
He further condemns the recent statement by Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich that starving two million Gazans could be “justified and moral,” while accusing Netanyahu and his government of refusing every hostage-ceasefire deal with Hamas.
Before the commencement of his speech, IDF warplanes broke the sound barrier while flying over Beirut. Nasrallah says that the IDF did so to frighten those gathered to attend the commemoration ceremony, calling the move “petty.”
