Netanyahu calls for regional approach to peace

Speaking now, Netanyahu repeats his various demands of the Palestinians, including recognition of Israel as a Jewish state and demilitarization, and accuses Ramallah of paying lip service, calling them prerequisites of peace.

He says Jews have a connection to the land and accuses Palestinians of glorifying terrorists.

“We have to look at new ways,” to reach peace, he says, and calls for a regional approach with Arab states, noting he will discuss it with Trump.

Trump says the two have been discussing a regional deal, and says it “would take in many, many countries.”

“I didn’t know you were going to be mentioning it, but now that you did, it’s a terrific thing,” he says.
