Police arrest ex-husband of woman killed in Kafr Qasim, suspect violent dispute

Police have arrested the ex-husband of a woman killed in Kafr Qasim, hours after her lifeless body was found in a burning car in the central Arab city.

Marlene al-Touri, a resident of the city in her 30s, is thought to have been killed by her former spouse in what police now characterize as a “violent domestic dispute.”

The suspect was tracked down in an unrecognized Bedouin village in southern Israel, far from Kafr Qasim, and arrested before dawn.

The man was brought in for interrogation and is due for a hearing in court, where police will seek to extend his detention.
