Prominent anti-government activist Moshe Radman is being summoned for questioning by police, in what protest groups are denouncing as a “political interrogation.”
He is due to appear at the Lev Tel Aviv police station this afternoon. Gaby Lasky, an attorney and former Meretz MK, will accompany him.
Police have not yet responded to a request for comment regarding the exact suspicions against Radman.
Protest leader Ami Dror announces that a demonstration will be held outside the station at 2 p.m. to oppose the summons, which he dubs an attempt by the government “to intimidate the democratic majority that refuses to let them hijack the country.”
The Democrats MK Naama Lazimi announces she will attend the protest, urging others to come as well. “Anyone who thinks this is marginal, or that they are immune to tyranny and the political police, is wrong — we all need to resist,” she writes on X.
