Report says Khan Younis Brigade commander killed, sources refuse to comment on Deif
Hamas’s Khan Younis Brigade commander Rafa’a Salameh was killed in an airstrike in the southern Gaza Strip yesterday, unnamed Hamas sources confirm to the Arabic-language newspaper al-Sharq al-Awsat.
The sources refuse to confirm or deny if Hamas’s military chief, Muhammad Deif, who was also targeted in the strike, was killed.
According to the report, Salameh’s body was taken for burial straight away, and the search for more bodies has ceased and will resume this morning.
