Rivlin thanks Qatari envoy for Gaza ceasefire efforts

President Reuven Rivlin speaks with Qatar’s envoy to the Gaza Strip and thanks him for his efforts to broker a ceasefire between the Hamas terrorist group and Israel, which was announced yesterday.

I spoke with the Qatari special envoy, Ambassador Mohammed al-Emadi, and thanked him for his committment and his intensive efforts to stop the escalation and to calm the situation, which are taking place alongside the @IDF's daily defensive and offensive operations.

I stressed how important it is that these efforts lead to a full arrangement, including the return of our boys held by Hamas, and the security of our people. We will not accept a reality of #terrorism against #Israeli citizens or soldiers under any circumstances.
