Sara Netanyahu opens new Knesset Bible caucus

Sara Netanyahu is speaking today at the inauguration of the new Knesset caucus for Bible ​(Tanach) ​study founded by ​Likud ​MK Yehuda​​ Glick.

​T​he ​daughter of ​Israeli poet and ​Bible ​educator Shmuel Ben-Artzi,​ Netanyahu, the prime minister’s wife, was invited by Glick as a guest of honor.​

​Opening the speeches, Netanyahu says that as the daughter of a Bible teacher, the sister of three Bible competition champions and the mother of another, and herself a lover of Bible study, she is honored to be invited.

“The Tanach is my favorite book,” she says. “It’s in my family, I feel connected to it, it’s a part of me and it’s a part of our nation.”
