Senior Hamas official says terror group pulling out from Gaza hostage-truce talks
A senior Hamas official tells AFP that the Palestinian terror group was withdrawing from talks on a truce and hostage deal in the Gaza war because of Israeli “massacres” and its attitude in negotiations.
The senior official says Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh had told international mediators of the “decision to halt negotiations due to the occupation’s (Israel’s) lack of seriousness, continued policy of procrastination and obstruction, and the ongoing massacres against unarmed civilians.”
Times of Israel staff contributed to this report.
