Thousands attend senior cop’s funeral

Thousands of people are attending the funeral of senior police officer Ephraim Bracha in Modiin, in central Israel.

Bracha committed suicide yesterday. He fought allegations that he took bribes from Rabbi Yoshiyahu Pinto and after his death the Police Investigations department ruled that he was not guilty of any wrongdoing.

Bracha was considered a first-rate investigator.

His family requested that no media outlets be present at his burial.
