The IDF overnight says it operated in the West Bank city of Hebron to measure the homes of the Palestinian terrorists who carried out the deadly shooting and stabbing attack in Jaffa last night, ahead of potential demolitions.
Seven people were killed and 16 others were wounded in the attack on the Tel Aviv light rail and a nearby road in Jaffa. Among the injuries was an off-duty IDF soldier, who was seriously wounded.
The IDF says it also detained and questioned several suspects who are suspected of aiding the terrorists in purchasing the assault rifle used in the attack and infiltrating into Israel.
The military and Shin Bet are investigating how the pair entered Israel. Meanwhile, the IDF has imposed a closure on Hebron, the terrorists’ hometown.
One of the terrorists who carried out the attack was shot dead, while the second was seriously wounded, police say. One of them worked near where the attack was carried out, and therefore was familiar with the area, according to the investigation.
