Trump says Iran can’t be allowed to ‘posses the planet’s most dangerous weapons’
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleTrump says many countries supported his decision to pull out of the 2015 agreement meant to limit the Iranian nuclear program and reimpose sanctions on Iran.
He says the deal was a windfall for Iranian leaders, who he charges used the sanctions relief to vastly boost Iran’s military budget.
“We cannot allow the world’s leading sponsor of terrorism to possess the planet’s most dangerous weapons,” he says in a speech at the UN General Assembly.
“We ask all nations to isolate Iran’s regime as long as its aggression continues,” he adds.
