UK Labour backers respond to protest against anti-Semitism with… anti-Semitism
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleAs UK Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn visits Bristol, Jewish students stage a protest against widespread anti-Semitism within the party and failure to adequately deal with complaints about anti-Semitic manifestations.
In response, Labour counter-protesters accuse them of “occupation in Palestine” and the “killing of Palestinian people.”
Holding Jews collectively responsible for alleged wrongdoing carried out by Israel’s government is considered anti-Semitic according to the definition of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance, which Labour adopted earlier this year, after much pressure.
