Vessel boarded by unauthorized personnel in Gulf of Aden, UK says
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleA vessel was boarded by unauthorized personnel while transiting east in the Gulf of Aden, 65 nautical miles south of Yemen’s Al Mukalla port, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) says.
The identity of those who boarded the vessel remains unclear.
The report comes after Iran reportedly asked Yemen’s Houthi rebels to stand ready to close the Red Sea oil route if the United States strikes Iranian power infrastructure.
