White House making sure lawmakers don’t ‘spoil’ nuke agreement

White House spokesman Josh Ernest says the White House is focusing on assuring that lawmakers do not “spoil” the Iranian nuclear agreement.

“There are some indications that we are successful in our efforts to gain support in Congress,” he tells reporters.

Congress will vote in September on whether to approve the deal. President Barack Obama has vowed to veto any legislation aimed at blocking the deal.
