White House press corps arrives in Saudi Arabia ahead of Biden

JEDDAH — The White House press corps has landed in Saudi Arabia ahead of US President Joe Biden’s arrival later today.

Biden is wrapping up a two-day trip in Israel and the West Bank before becoming the first US President to fly directly from Israel to Jeddah where he will hold bilateral meetings with the Saudi leadership shortly upon landing and participate on Saturday in an expanded summit of the Gulf Cooperation Council known as the GCC+3.

He will also hold bilateral meetings with the leaders of Iraq, Egypt and the UAE before flying back to the US on Saturday evening.

The weather in Jeddah is a balmy 96 degrees.
