Woman stabbed, seriously injured in Beersheba

A young woman has been stabbed and badly wounded in Beersheba, paramedics say.

The victim, around 25 years old, is semiconscious and in serious condition.

Medics are taking her to Soroka Medical Center in the southern city.

i24 News reports that the victim is an Arab transgender woman. Police are reportedly checking the possibility that she was stabbed in a hate crime or by a relative.
