Ya’alon: Best we can do is strike massive blow to Hamas, but there will be future rounds

Former defense minister Moshe Ya’alon suggests during a Channel 12 interview that Israelis should lower expectations of what the IDF will be able to do in Gaza.

He says that the IDF must strike a massive blow to Hamas after its onslaught. However, he laments that there will likely be additional rounds of fighting in Gaza after the current one.

“Whoever thinks you can get rid of the Hamas ideology through another military campaign [is mistaken],” he says.
