An off-duty FBI agent is under investigation after he dropped his gun, while dancing early Saturday morning in Denver, Colorado, and accidentally shot a bystander as he went to pick it up.
In a video of the event the agent, whose name was not released, can be seen dancing in a circle. As he does a backflip, the handgun falls out of its holster onto the floor. As the agent picks it up, it discharges, hitting a bystander in the lower leg.
The agent then appeared to grin sheepishly and hold up his hands. He did not appear to express any concern for the victim in the short video.
The victim was not badly injured and was taken to a local hospital, The Guardian newspaper reported.
Police reportedly interviewed the agent, and the FBI has launched an inquiry. However, Denver police community resource officer Marika Putnam said the agent had not been arrested.

The incident took place at the Mile High Spirits bar, and it was unclear whether the agent had been drinking at the time.
The Guardian said that a Denver FBI spokeswoman declined to comment, as the investigation is still ongoing.
