Israeli tennis players Andy Ram and Yoni Erlich received the International Tennis Federation’s approval to compete in the London 2012 Olympic Games on Tuesday. The duo joined the team of 36 athletes, 18 men and 18 women, who will be representing Israel at the Olympics this summer.

Israel will compete in 10 different events at the London games: athletics, badminton, rhythmic and artistic gymnastics, judo, sailing, shooting, swimming, synchronized swimming and tennis.
Among the other athletes representing Israel are 2004 Olympic bronze medalist judoka Arik Zeevi, 2008 Olympic bronze medalist windsurfer Shahar Tzuberi, tennis pro Shahar Peer, and world champion windsurfer Lee Korzits.
