A woman was killed after being hit by a truck at a pedestrian crossing in Beersheba on Monday.
The apparent accident took place on Narkis Street in the southern city, police said.
The woman, 55, was found with multisystem injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.
Police opened an investigation into the incident, which comes after a deadly weekend on the country’s roads that saw four people killed in three accidents on Friday.
According to the Road Safety Authority’s latest figures, 321 people have been killed in crashes on Israel’s roads since the start of 2022, a slight decrease compared to last year.
