Child killed, dad seriously hurt in Beit Shemesh fire

A 10-year-old boy was killed and his father was seriously injured Tuesday night when a fire broke out in their Beit Shemesh apartment.
The father was hurt when he ran back into the burning home to retrieve his children. His wife and two other children suffered light injuries only.
The wounded were evacuated to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem, and firefighters managed to put out the flames.
The cause of the fire was not immediately clear.
