Garage in England refuses to sell car part to Israeli
Spelling-challenged owner writes that he will not ship to ‘non exitent ountries’

A garage in England told a man in Israel that he would have to pay more than 25 times the going rate for a side-view mirror because it does not recognize the State of Israel.
Israeli Jack de Lowe wanted to buy a side-view mirror for his Ford Focus, and wrote to the garage Ford Parts Oldham for a price.
The mirror should have cost some 40 pounds ($48), but de Lowe was told by garage owner Mursal Israr that he would have to pay the absurd price of 1,025 pounds ($1,250). After he sent an email clarifying why he would have to pay such a high amount, he received the following reply: “as we do not recognise the state of israel we do not ship to such non exitent ountries hwoever delivery to palestin can be arranged at a sensible price (sic),” a copy of which de Lowe provided to English news site Heat Street.
When Heat Street called the garage to verify, Israr confirmed he sent the email and said he was proud of it. “We don’t recognize the illegal occupation of Israel. We don’t believe in the illegal occupation of what is going on there and there’s innocent Muslims and people are getting killed there on a daily basis so we don’t wish to do any business with the state of Israel whatsoever because we don’t recognize the state of Israel.”
When it was pointed out that de Lowe is not an official representative of Israel but an individual, Mursal responded that “it doesn’t matter, he shouldn’t live there, then…There is no state of Israel, let’s begin with that.”
A Ford spokesman said that Ford Parts Oldham is not a recognized Ford dealer or officially connected to Ford in any way and that Ford’s lawyers are now checking the legality of the garage’s use of Ford in its name.
