2 Islamic Revolutionary Guards officers reportedly shot dead in Zahedan
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleTEHRAN, Iran — Two members of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps were killed by unidentified gunmen in the southeastern city of Zahedan today, the Tasnim news agency says.
“Colonel Mehdi Molashahi and Javad Kikha, Guards members in Sistan-Baluchistan province, were shot dead by unknown assailants in the city of Zahedan,” the agency says.
Zahedan, one of the few Sunni-majority cities in Iran, was recently the scene of a bloody crackdown on protesters demonstrating against the alleged rape of a teenage girl by a local chief.
